Municipal Bin Service
We coordinate the local Koh Samui Municipality collection schedule for your villa, put the bins out the night before, and bring them in once empty. No more guests dragging the wheelie bin to the road at 6am.
From ฿1,500 / month for bins-in / bins-out, ad-hoc tip runs from ฿2,500 per load — part of our property management Koh Samui service.
A clear scope of what every villa on this service receives, with no hidden carve-outs.
We coordinate the local Koh Samui Municipality collection schedule for your villa, put the bins out the night before, and bring them in once empty. No more guests dragging the wheelie bin to the road at 6am.
When bins overflow — high-season turnover days, big group stays, post-renovation — our team takes overflow waste directly to the municipal tip. Quoted per load, no surprise fees.
Coconut fronds, palm leaves, garden clippings and tree-cutting debris hauled away after every major garden maintenance visit. Disposal at the municipal green-waste facility, not burned on-site.
During refurbishments, kitchen rip-outs, or pool resurfacing, we coordinate skip bins and debris removal so your villa site stays clean and safe for adjacent guest stays.
Glass, plastic, paper, metal — sorted at our depot and taken to Koh Samui recycling partners. We provide owners with a monthly recycling-volume report on request.
Old paint, used batteries, expired chemicals, broken fluorescent tubes — collected separately and disposed of through approved Thai hazardous-waste channels. Never tossed in with regular waste.
Tropical heat, irregular municipal pickups, no doorstep collection, and a real recycling shortage mean villa waste needs an active manager — not a passive bin.
Koh Samui Municipality runs garbage collection routes across the island, but coverage and reliability vary dramatically by area. Bo Phut, Chaweng and Lamai generally see two pickups per week. More remote neighbourhoods like Taling Ngam, Bang Por and Lipa Noi may see one pickup per week or less. During Songkran, Chinese New Year and other major Thai holidays, schedules slip by 2–3 days with little notice. A villa relying on the public schedule alone will see bins overflow during high season — a problem your paying guests will smell long before they complain.
Tropical heat amplifies the problem. Organic waste in a closed bin at 32°C ferments within 24 hours, attracting flies, ants, and the local stray-dog population. By day three an untouched bin is a public-health issue. Most owners discover this the hard way after their first long stay when they fly back in to find a swarm and a complaint email.
Recycling infrastructure on Samui is patchy. There is no kerbside recycling collection. Glass, plastic, and metal must be sorted by the property owner and taken to one of a handful of private recyclers — most of which are in Maenam or near the Lipa Noi pier. Without a managed service, recyclables either go in landfill or pile up in the villa storeroom for months.
Then there is the bigger debris. Renovation work, furniture replacements, and pool refurbishments generate construction waste that municipal trucks won't take. Many villa owners get fined or simply ignored by the municipality after leaving builders' rubble at the kerb. We handle this with private skip bins and direct hauling to the construction-waste facility outside Nathon.
Finally, green waste from gardens is a category of its own. Coconut fronds and palm leaves cannot be put in regular bins. They are heavy, slow to compost, and a fire hazard if piled near the villa. Burning them on-site is technically illegal and certainly a problem if a guest walks into smoke at sunset. We collect green waste at every garden visit and haul it to the municipal green facility — see also our garden maintenance Koh Samui service which bundles this in automatically.
A clear, repeatable process — so you and your guests always know what's happening.
We start with a site visit, count and inspect bins, confirm the municipal pickup days for your neighbourhood, and set up the recurring bins-out / bins-in schedule. You receive a written waste plan within 48 hours.
Bins are placed at the kerb the evening before pickup and returned to their dedicated storage area within 24 hours of collection. Locked bin enclosures are unlocked and re-locked. Discreet, on a consistent day each week.
When you have a full villa for 10 guests over Songkran, a wedding, a big party, or a renovation, we schedule extra tip runs in advance. Quoted per load, billed on your monthly statement.
Every month you receive a brief waste summary: number of pickups, overflow runs, green-waste loads, and recycling volumes. Useful for sustainability-conscious owners who want to track their villa's environmental footprint.
Real prices, no surprises. Bundled into our full management plan, or available stand-alone.

It depends on your neighbourhood. Bo Phut, Chaweng, Lamai and Choeng Mon generally see two collections per week. Maenam, Bang Por, Taling Ngam and other quieter areas may see only one. Schedules also shift around major Thai holidays. We confirm your villa's exact schedule during the initial audit.
Yes. For active renovations we coordinate private skip bins, schedule debris pickups, and haul construction waste to the official construction-waste facility outside Nathon. Pricing is per skip or per load, quoted before any work starts.
Yes, as part of our Full Waste Management tier. We pick up sorted recyclables (glass, plastic, paper, metal) and deliver them to our partner recyclers in Maenam. Monthly volume reports are available for owners tracking sustainability metrics.
Handled separately. Hazardous waste (paint, solvents, batteries, fluorescent tubes, expired chemicals) is collected on request and disposed of through approved Thai hazardous-waste channels — never mixed in with regular garbage. There is a small per-item fee.
That's the goal — no, they won't. Bins go out at night, come back in by morning. No overflowing bins, no smell, no dogs. The waste-management work happens around guest stays, not through them.
Not on-site for guest villas. Composting attracts pests in tropical climates and requires daily turning. Organic waste goes through municipal collection. For owner-occupied villas with garden space, we can set up a covered composting system on request.
This service is part of our full property management Koh Samui offering. Owners commonly bundle it with our housekeeping Koh Samui, garden maintenance and pool service for a single coordinated team across the property.
