The Character
Fisherman's Village is the postcard Samui most repeat visitors are looking for: restored Chinese-style shop-houses, a Friday walking street, seafood grills on the sand and a genuine sense of place. Quieter than Chaweng but with better food.
The Beach
Long, flat, shallow swimming beach facing north — calm and family-friendly almost year-round.

Practical Guide
The bay faces north. Swimming is year-round (gulf side, sheltered). wettest period October–December, but the bay sits in the lee of Big Buddha so wave action stays mild.
Seasonality. Peak demand runs December–February for couples and families. The slowest period is typically September–October — slowest occupancy month — owners who price dynamically lift average occupancy materially through this window (we wrote about this in how dynamic pricing actually works on Samui).
Drive times. Samui Airport: 8 minutes. Chaweng: 15 minutes. Lamai: 30 minutes.
Day-to-day amenities. Nearest large supermarket: Tesco Lotus Chaweng (12 min) or Big C Bo Phut (5 min). Nearest A&E hospital: Bangkok Hospital Samui (10 min). Nearest international school: Lamai International School (25 min) or Panyadee British International School (15 min).
For owners. Bo Phut attracts premium without Chaweng's noise. Plot availability is moderate — most plots within 800 m of the beach are already developed, hillside above the village still has options.
